The Agile Manifesto
In 2001, 17 thought leaders from the software industry published what was known as The Manifesto for Agile Software Development, verbatim as follows:
- Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
- Working software over comprehensive documentation
- Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
- Responding to change over following a plan
These are the tenets of the Agile philosophy. In each point, higher value is placed upon the items on the left. To understand Agile better, in the next few sections, we will explore the most common decision-making process that project managers face while adopting Agile practices.
