Moving CRM and ERP to the cloud


The general direction of software deployments is to the cloud and if your CRM and ERP applications are currently on premise it is likely that you have, or will have, the opportunity to move them to the cloud in the future.

Some of the benefits of moving the CRM and ERP applications to the cloud are:

  • It removes the support and maintenance responsibilities from the in-house IT department

  • The CRM and ERP applications will be available to users all the time, 24x7

  • The CRM and ERP applications will be accessible from everywhere, both inside and outside the company firewall

  • There are potential savings to be made on operating costs

One disadvantage for integration developers is that software that runs on the cloud is typically less open to customization than software that runs on the customer's premise.
