Technical requirements

We will be using the following tools to accomplish the tasks in this chapter:

• The Azure Cost Management Power BI app, available at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cost-management-billing/costs/analyze-cost-data-azure-cost-management-power-bi-template-app.
• Azure Advisor, available at https://ms.portal.azure.com/#view/Microsoft_Azure_Expert/AdvisorMenuBlade/~/score.
• The Microsoft Cost Management + Billing tool, available at https://portal.azure.com/#view/Microsoft_Azure_CostManagement/Menu/~/overview. Alternatively, you can also find Cost Management + Billing by signing in to the Azure portal and, in the top center search bar, typing Cost Management + Billing.

When using these tools, sign in to the Azure portal using your organization ID. Please refer to Chapter 1 for the minimum RBAC permissions required to use Azure Cost Management + Billing.
