Benchmarking Current Spend and Establishing Budgets
What can be measured can be improved. In this chapter, we will look at how to establish benchmarking cloud spend within teams, across teams, and across organizations. Benchmarking requires the development of new Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This chapter will explain the proven method of successfully developing KPIs. We will look at budget allocation and tracking using the Azure cost analysis tool as well as configuring anomaly alerting for spending higher than the allocated budget.
