Burnout in the industry
Trisha Gee: For me, it's the difference between being externally motivated versus being internally motivated. If you're sitting at a job and your boss is telling you that you need to get all this stuff done for the release, which is next week, and you just don't have enough hours to do it in, and that happens again and again, then you end up burning out.
I think it's also possible to get burnout when you're driving your own goals. I definitely see this in some of the developer advocates around me because there is variety in what we do, but there are just so many things to do. People like us are very passionate and very driven, so we just want to be doing the next thing all the time.
