Extend SharePoint with Power Apps

Power Apps is a low-code application platform that allows users to create custom applications for their business requirements. Power Apps is commonly called a citizen-developer platform because of its simplicity, but it still offers various capabilities for building business solutions and accessing business data in various data storages, such as SQL databases or the Microsoft Dataverse platform. It is also a part of the Power Platform product family, which includes Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents.

Power Apps can also be used to extend SharePoint, connect and manage data in SharePoint lists and libraries, and create apps that can be surfaced within SharePoint content. Power Apps are one option to extend SharePoint’s list of forms for creating more visual and functional form experiences. A list form created with Power Apps supports all logic operations as with canvas apps, and the editor used is the same.
