An overview of Google Workspace
As you may recall, you were first introduced to Google Workspace way back in Chapter 3, Exploring Google Apps. There, you learned that Google Workspace is a collection of cloud-based communication, collaboration, and business apps. We discussed how gaining access to one of several types of Google Workspace editions opens the door to accessing advanced application features and resources. You also learned that as a cloud service, Google Workspace uses a pay-as-you-go subscription model that if not correctly managed, could result in you spending more than you need on your app access. In short, you learned quite a bit about Google Workspace. However, there is another side to Google Workspace that we are yet to explore: its role as a hub for the centralized administration of your ChromeOS devices, users, data, and applications.
