Abstracting your source system
For a business intelligence and data warehouse project, there are normally numerous source systems. All these source systems will have their individual data models and standards. It is important to be able to abstract the business intelligence and data warehouse project from these upgrades so as to minimize the impact, and create a single point of failure.
Getting ready
