Why is the cloud different?
If you’ve ever had to work in an environment that was in a local data center, you know that you are responsible for multiple layers of security, from the physical security of the data center to securing the application. When working in the cloud, this management of security must be done in cooperation with the cloud hosting provider. When working with D365, we must follow Microsoft Trusted Cloud Principles (MTCP). The MTCP are made up of the following – security, compliance, privacy, and transparency. Microsoft is responsible for securing the environments, the infrastructure, and the virtual servers that D365 is run on. As an end user, you are responsible for who has access to the system and how the users access what areas.
