Summary
In this chapter, we covered BaaS and explored the most important backends and architectural patterns that can be used in serverless workflows. Using object stores and NoSQL platforms for data management in serverless empowers it to build real applications using FaaS. With an ever-increasing flow of business events, stream processing and message queues will play a vital role in solving business problems the serverless way. Edge computing and IoT take data and computing closer to customers, paving the way for increased automation and data distribution while improving the customer experience. Workflows are the lifeblood of all businesses, and workflow automation and cloud workflows take it to the next level.
