Wrapping Up Themes

In the previous chapters, we looked at the entire aspect of WordPress styling, as far as themes. It’s been quite a journey, and we are going to close by looking at how inspiring block themes can be. We will also review resources for you to explore yourself as you develop your understanding of themes, along with sharing some theme resources.

In this book, we have covered a lot of topics. We began looking at blocks and then journeyed through design tools, looking at how those interacted with blocks. Our adventure took us to discovering patterns and the power they unlock. Then, we explored the site-editing experience together, unlocking template parts and templates. All of this built up to us being able to add styling to blocks, create our own patterns, and then modify existing themes. We’ve learned a lot, including a vast number of interfaces and new terminology related to styling WordPress.
