Capturing an application with ThinApp

This recipe will guide us through the process of capturing the installation of an application using ThinApp and then building the ThinApp package.

Getting ready

The following is a list of key terms commonly seen when capturing and building applications using ThinApp:

Term	Definition
build.bat	The build.bat file is used to rebuild a ThinApp package to integrate any changes or updates.
The deployed execution mode	A ThinApp configured in the deployed execution mode is copied to and executed from the local desktop hard disk. This mode should not be used with linked clone desktops, as it will cause them to increase in size by the amount of space required to host the entire ThinApp package, potentially eliminating any space savings unique to the linked clone desktops.
The entry point	These are the points of entry into a ThinApp application that are typically an .exe or .com file. The entry points are specified when building the ThinApp.
