The Contents of the Mnemonic Dictionary
The contents of the mnemonic database are very similar to the contents of the corporate database. The contents of the mnemonic dictionary include:
- • Spreadsheet system name
- • Line name/number
- • Column name
- • Row identifier
- • Alternate name (optional)
- • Created by
- • Created date
- • Description (optional)
The mnemonic dictionary, again, does not contain values. Instead, the mnemonic dictionary contains both lineage and metadata. Some data elements in the mnemonic dictionary can be considered both lineage and metadata elements at once.
