Summary
We have seen how to create a new garment from scratch, based on the new character Dawn. Dawn is a promising figure that works for the whole market of premade content for both Studio and Poser, which provides the widest market appeal.
From the steps described in this chapter, you can see what's involved in the creation of new clothing: modeling, UV mapping, exporting and import in Studio, rigging, and final packaging.
There is a lot more about making clothing, there are special morphs to be added, there are figure variations to be added, and material presets to be included with any sellable figure. But those are details that can be explored on your own once the big picture is understood. That was the purpose of this chapter, to give you a bird's eye view of the process from far up so that you can get an understanding of how to get to the finished product from the blank page.
In the next chapter we will look into the final piece of the Studio puzzle: animation.
