Why look for the elevator?
Sometimes, it doesn’t matter how hard you have tried to succeed or fit into an organization, it is just not going to be a good match. I’ve seen individuals try to struggle with this dilemma and it can be painful to watch. We all know how to ride an elevator; it is simple, right? But making career decisions is not that easy. The following is a guide to pressing the elevator buttons:

We all naturally want to progress upward. There may be career life choices that you make in which the elevator is not the right mode of travel and the staircase is a better (slower but more appropriate) choice. Note that being overly ambitious can also be perceived as a career derailer, so be careful not to push too hard. |
