An application for mobile banking
The final case study is about an application for mobile banking in the context of JPMorgan Chase & Co. JPMorgan Chase & Co. is a US-based multinational finance company. The organization has around 300,000 employees and generated a little bit less than 160 billion USD of revenue in 2023. Besides banking, the company is also active in other financial areas such as risk management and private equity.
Problem description
The project had to be created without using any resources already available from the US branch of Chase. The basic idea was to have a mobile-only banking solution that could be introduced as Chase UK without demanding any physical infrastructure to be set up. No ATMs or branches would need to be established anywhere.
The app had to fulfill the security requirements provided by the Bank of England through the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA). As target platforms, only iOS and Android in more recent versions were determined...
