Teradata Database provides system-based utilities that help users to change system parameters or to check the system's status.
You can start the utilities either via the command line or the graphical user interfaces. These utilities have similar behavior to other utilities you will have used in other systems. You need to choose from the given options and the result will be displayed based on the options you chose. To execute these utilities, you must have the appropriate access provided.
Executing command-line utilities should be done with care, as they can bring down the system if they are not executed properly.
Utility files are copied to all nodes by PDE software. This is done when your TD engineers configure/build Teradata Database.
