Dynamics in love and hate

In the original text of A Midsummer Night's Dream by Shakespeare, Hermia says: "The more I hate, the more he follows me" and "I curse him, but he loves me." Also, Helena says in this work from Shakespeare: "The more I love him, the more he hates me." A short search using an Internet search engine such as Google will produce a bunch of articles and research questions on the topic "The more he hates me the more I love him, the more he loves me the more he hates me."

We want to give another simple example of a dynamic system, the dynamics of a love affair, but for other examples than for example, reported in Strogatz, 1994.

You can consider the situation of Hermia and Lysander, Helena and Lysander, or Romeo and Juliet, but we want to transfer it to the modern age.
