Summary
In this chapter, we discussed different aspects of visualization using R. We used the interactive, third-party packages to manipulate a graphics display with GTK+ and latticist
. We saw the display of bivariate data using hexbin
. There were built-in packages and external packages (GoogleMaps
) to apply data points to geographical maps. Finally, we touched upon some of the features of the ggplot
toolkit.
In the next chapter, we will discuss plotting.
