Summary

In this chapter, we discussed different aspects of visualization using R. We used the interactive, third-party packages to manipulate a graphics display with GTK+ and latticist. We saw the display of bivariate data using hexbin. There were built-in packages and external packages (GoogleMaps) to apply data points to geographical maps. Finally, we touched upon some of the features of the ggplot toolkit.

In the next chapter, we will discuss plotting.
