Optimization and performance advice
To wrap up this chapter, it would be great to discuss the importance of optimizing your PCG tool, regardless of whether you use a powerful or lower-end PC or laptop. It’s very important to note what to watch out for when you work with the PCG tool to generate dense foliage.
Geometry distribution
It is very important to note that working with photo-scanned geometry (in this case, Megascan trees) can be very performance-heavy for a PCG tool to handle, especially if we decrease the Point Extents values inside the Surface Sampler!

As an example, I have lowered the Point Extents values, and the outcome of the tree distribution looks great but is very performance-heavy for the PCG volume.
