Summary

In this chapter, we discovered what a child theme is. It enables us to customize an existing theme by keeping the ability to update the original theme. We saw the minimal structure required to create a standard child theme and tested it.

We will learn, in the next chapter, how to adapt module templates to our child theme in order to make them fit in to the graphical context of our shop.
