Other testing tools

There are many other testing platforms, tools, and services presented on the market. The most interesting of them are services for automated UI testing. Let's review some of them.

Telerik Test Studio

We can use Telerik Test Studio to record and automate UI tests for native, web, or hybrid iOS applications. To create a test, we only need to record our interactions with the application and execute them later.

There are some setup steps we need to follow:

  1. Download and install test studio and the mobile testing SDK.
  2. Configure a build that can be tested.
  3. Deploy the application to the device.
  4. Launch test studio, and record a test. You will see help notes on your way.
  5. After that, we only need to access the recorded script and execute it.

The only one issue with UI testing is a need to wait until the testing DOM element is rendered. It is possible to set up some timeout or event handler for the UI pre-loader element. It means once the pre-loader is hidden, we can start script execution...
