Attributes of a Network Architect
In the previous two chapters, we touched on network architects, their placement within the organization, and the roadmap to becoming one. Now, we want to dive into the attributes of a network architect. As mentioned in Chapter 1, network architects are one of many “architects” in an organization, with overlapping skill sets with other architects. This chapter will introduce those overlapping skill sets.
I’m quite sure in your experiences and job roles thus far (the same for me, too), you’ve worn different hats when a co-worker or a manager was out of the office. We’ve had to update reports, present business roadmaps, or be an SME on a project – all of which were outside our day-to-day activities. Being a network architect encompasses everything I mentioned and more.
