Summary

In this chapter, we discussed both the STP and Compliance Manager. Together, the STP and Compliance Manager can help organizations achieve and maintain compliance with industry-based standards and regulatory controls.

We also covered some of the most common questions organizations have when assessing a cloud service, such as how data is secured, where data is stored, and what data resiliency protection is in place.

Then, we introduced the new IRM features that can be used to help mitigate and manage a variety of risk scenarios, such as data loss from terminated employees or exposure from internal communications. Finally, we reviewed some of the capabilities inside the Microsoft 365 Defender portal, highlighting features such as Secure Score and IRM.

In the next chapter, we'll begin reviewing licensing options, including which cloud services may be available on licensing styles or agreements.
