In this chapter, we covered Kibana Discover and how we can explore data using Discover. We discussed how to discover your data using the different options provided in Kibana Discover, such as how to limit the number of fields to display in order to focus on the dataset, which is more relevant than the other fields. Then, we saw how to expand a document display to check all available fields, along with the option to view the surrounding documents and a single document. From this screen, we can apply a filter on any field. Then, we covered different ways to dissect the data, such as filtering the data by applying the time-based filter, filtering the data based on different document fields, and applying a query on your dataset.
