Features of Sametime Advanced

Installing Sametime Advanced adds many new collaborative features to your existing Sametime environment. These can be seen as panels inserted into the interface for the Sametime Connect Client or Notes embedded client, and are part of the Sametime 8.5.2 client install.

The client features and the related Sametime Advanced preference options can be displayed by changing the following setting of your Sametime plugin_customization.ini file, which is found under the rcp directory in the Sametime install location:

• com.ibm.collaboration.realtime/enableAdvanced=true

SSC user policies can be created to modify these settings for the Sametime Connect Client and Domino Desktop Policies can be used to control these settings for the embedded Sametime client for the Lotus Notes client.

There is also a web interface available for Sametime Advanced which has a more limited set of functionality than that which is available in the Sametime client.
