Monitoring Resources with Azure Monitor
In the previous chapter, you explored monitoring and troubleshooting network connectivity. In this chapter, you are going to focus on how you can monitor the rest of your Azure estate. You will explore the Azure Monitor service and learn about the various functionalities that the service contains, such as metrics, alerts, Log Analytics, and Application Insights. You will also gain hands-on experience in working with several of the components of Monitor and become more confident in troubleshooting and monitoring your applications.
The chapter will start with a description of each of the services contained within Azure Monitor, which is a very comprehensive offering on the Azure platform. Following this, you will get an opportunity to work through some examples of using the various aspects of the service that you are most likely to encounter in your daily role and that will likely be present in the exam.
