Google Compute Engine


Google Compute Engine is the service in GCP that helps us in provisioning virtual machines as per our requirements; we have the option to customize it and run it as long as we want, while getting amazing discounts for running it for a longer duration. While creating a VM, you have the option of creating a Linux instance; at the same time, you can create a Windows instance as well.

Compute Engine offers scale, performance, and value, allowing you to easily launch large compute clusters on Google's infrastructure. Plus you don't have any upfront investments, and you can run thousands of virtual CPUs on a system that has been designed to be fast and offer strong consistency of performance.

You can create your own VPC and provision a custom VM. Due to this characteristic of Compute Engine, users can host the same logic in the cloud as is currently hosted on  the physical infrastructure and on virtual machines provided by Google.
