Typing and editing text
The most common use for a note is to type and edit text. To type text in a note, simply tap where you want to insert text and type using the virtual keyboard that appears at the bottom of the screen.
To select a single word, you have two options:
- Press and hold a fingertip over the word.
- Double-tap the word.
To select an entire paragraph, triple-tap any word in that paragraph. As soon as you select any text, a beginning and ending vertical line appears, as shown in Figure 15.8:
To select more or less text, drag these two vertical lines in any direction. Tap the selected text and a pop-up menu appears letting you choose the Cut, Copy, and Paste commands.
Cut removes selected text. Copy duplicates selected text. Paste inserts previously cut or copied text. If you have not cut or copied any text, the paste command won't do...
