Chapter 7. Navigating the Studio Environment
Up to this point, we have seen Studio in action by performing specific tasks. It is now time to expand our knowledge of Studio by delving into the details of some of the tools offered by the program.
The secret to using a 3D program successfully is to be able to move around the 3D space and control every element with ease.
In this chapter we explore how to do the following:
- Understanding the building block of geometric models
- Changing our point of view and the camera perspective
- Setting the frame for our render
- Selecting objects, parts of objects, and materials
- Adding and changing lights
- Organizing our content with categories
- Importing 3D assets from other programs
