Time for action – enrolling a student on your course


  1. In the Settings block, under Course administration, look for the Users link and click on it—then click on Enrolled users:

  2. The Enrolled users screen is displayed. To enroll a new user, click on either of the Enrol users buttons:

  3. The Enrol users pop-up dialog is displayed. We are going to enroll a student so make sure you have Student selected in the Assign roles drop-down menu at the top of the pop up:

  4. The search box at the bottom of this popup allows me to search for the test student my Moodle admin created for me:

  5. Press the Enrol button to the right of the student's name to enroll the user as a student. Their name is then indented and the Enrol button disappears:

  6. Click on the close icon in the top right-hand corner of the popup to both close the dialog and to actually enroll the student. You'll then see the student listed on the Enrolled users page:

  7. That's it! We're done.

What just happened?

Rather than bothering my Moodle admin to enroll...
