Chapter 12: It Was Rigged!: Character Rigging
Okay, the name of this chapter is a bit misleading, because we have a big first order of business to take care of before we get into rigging our character, and that is UV unwrapping and texturing. So, there are really two main objectives for this chapter, but I couldn't come up with a catchy chapter title that covered both! Anyway, the main sections are:
- UV-Unwrapping and Texturing the Marine: We will quickly review the process of unwrapping and texturing, then go part by part, head to toe, and get the marine fixed up.
- Rigging the Marine: Here, we will cover what rigging is and the process involved. Then, we will try to figure out the smartest way to rig our character.
- Exporting the Marine: We have already done a bunch of exporting from Blender, so we will quickly get our marine shipped out...
