Some UX considerations

A user who has been using the HoloLens for some time will know how to operate the device. They will be aware that the center of their view is where the cursor will be. They will know how to use the bloom gesture. They will use air-tap and related gestures to do the work that needs to be done.

I have seen a lot of users struggle with the air-tap gesture. It takes a little time to get used to it, to get it just right so to speak. Most people try to be creative and invent their own gestures to make a hologram do what they want it to do. Some people try to grab the holograms, and others tap with two, three, or even four fingers. Again others make some sort of wave gesture. Of course, none of these work. The device currently only sees the one-finger tap, and that is the way you control the apps. There is a very simple reason why people behave this way.
