Photo, video, image, and graphics
This section will look into all well-known tools for video and imaging work. Many were initially developed only for Linux and would satisfy all your daily and special needs.
Photo/images
Let’s start with the simple photo and picture viewers. For Xfce, the default is Viewnior; for KDE Plasma, it is Gwenview; and for GNOME, it is gThumb. They all open images in multiple formats and are available for all three official Manjaro flavors. For simple viewing, I like gThumb and Gwenview the most.
The other alternatives we have available on all flavors are the following viewers:
- Photoflare is suitable for common effects such as blur, sharpen, color/channel modifications, and batch process.
- Photos (Pantheon) is a simple photo manager that automatically looks for images on your system and shows additional classification by date. It has hardly any editor options.
- Photos (GNOME) is a limited functionality viewer (press Ctrl + E to...
