Web Content

The Liferay Web Content portlet (portlet ID 15) is available inside the site administration panel. Liferay Web Content is a very powerful and robust application, which allows users to create and manage web content very easily.

Let's explore the web content for the marketing department site. After that, we will complete a use case on web content using the workflow:

  1. Now, log in as the site administrator of Palm Tree and click on Admin | Site Administration | Content from the dock bar menu. You will land on the web content portlet page inside site administration panel.
  2. Once you have logged in as the site administrator, you can decide where the content needs to be created and in which site it should be displayed. You can even create the content in the global site so that the content is globally available across the portal's sites.
  3. Change the Palm Tree site scope to the marketing department scope, where the content needs to be created.
