Deploying an Azure Arc data controller (indirectly connected mode)
In this section, we will set up an Azure Arc data controller in indirectly connected mode on our AKS cluster. We can create an Azure Arc data controller in various ways, such as by using the Azure portal, Azure Data Studio, the Azure Data CLI, Kubernetes tools, and even applying Security Context Constraints (SSC) via OpenShift. However, only Azure Data Studio and the CLI are supported in terms of deploying an Azure Arc data controller in indirectly connected mode.
Since this chapter is about PostgreSQL, which only supports indirectly connected mode at the time of writing this book, we will be deploying the Arc data controller in indirect mode. In Chapter 6, Azure Arc Enabled SQL Managed Instances, we will be deploying an Azure Arc data controller in directly connected mode.
If you wish to deploy an Azure Arc data controller using the Data CLI, please follow the steps at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure...
