Summary
We learned a lot in this chapter about using GnuCash to find, fix, and organize transactions.
Specifically, we covered:
Finding transactions: We learned that sorting is often the first step to finding transactions and learned how to do sorting. Then we went on to filtering out transactions that we are not interested in so that we can home in on the ones that we want. Finally, we studied a variety of ways to search for that needle-in-the-haystack elusive transaction.
Printing checks: We looked at how to print checks in standard formats including how to print address and memo on the checks as well as how to print multiple checks in one go. We also briefly covered how to create and save a custom format, if the standard ones don't work for you.
Numbered accounts: We saw why you might want to give numbers to your accounts and how to go about doing that.
We saw how to check and fix transactions, if some of the splits are accidentally not imported or deleted.
