Summary

In this chapter, we started by creating an AWS account and an S3 bucket for uploading static images from our backend. Modern social networks consist of many images, videos, and other types of files. We introduced Apollo Client, which allows us to upload any type of file. In this chapter, we managed to upload an image to our server, and we covered how to crop images and save them through a server in AWS S3. Your application should now be able to serve your users with images at any time.

The next chapter will cover the basics of client-side routing, with the use of React Router.
