Technical requirements
We will be using the following tools to accomplish the tasks in this chapter:
- Microsoft’s Cost Management + Billing tool, available at https://portal.azure.com/#view/Microsoft_Azure_CostManagement/Menu/~/overview. Alternatively, you can also find Cost Management + Billing by signing in to the Azure portal and, in the search bar, typing

. - Microsoft Power BI Cost Management Connector, available at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/desktop-connect-azure-cost-management.
- A Microsoft Power BI Pro or Premium license is required to use the data-driven alert feature.
- A SQL Server database with read and write permissions.
- A Power Automate per-user license and deployment environment: https://powerautomate.microsoft.com/.
