Creating Skills and Courses
In the previous chapter, you uploaded custom content modules to the Content Library of your Learning Manager account. But this content is not yet available to learners as these modules are only the fundamental building blocks used to create courses. Building courses is precisely what you will do in this chapter.
Before creating courses, let’s think about the reasons why learners take courses in the first place and why organizations spend so much time, effort, and money to make courses available to theiwr personnel. The answer to both questions lies in one word: skills.
Learners take courses because it allows them to acquire new skills (reskilling) or to update existing skills (upskilling). As for organizations, they know that in a competitive environment, skilled employees are one of the cornerstones of success and profitability.
