iMovie Editing Workflow – Import, Edit, and Export
In this chapter, we will go through the entire process of creating a video in iMovie for macOS. This will be similar to the process we used in Chapter 3; however, iMovie for macOS looks different and has more features available to you. Now that we have moved to a more fully-featured NLE, the way you choose to go about the edit becomes more important. This is because optimizing your process can make the whole edit go a lot faster and feel a lot smoother; but with more features available, an unstructured workflow will cause more friction and frustration than before.
With more ways to go about the process, your ability to customize your editing workflow also increases.
