When explaining SASE management, it is common to state similarities to network, security, and application management. In many cases, a simple high-level definition should be both common-sense and provide a quick overview. The simple definition also has the consequence of impacting funding by underestimating compound licensing requirements or extensive labor needs to establish effective management. SASE management requires more labor to establish effective management, but through automation and AIOps, the costs of compliance labor, operations labor, and life cycle refresh labor can be reduced.
