Understanding Environments
In this section, we will start with a basic understanding of an environment, and the different types of environments that you will see in the Power Platform. We'll also learn how Dataverse for Teams environments are different from other types of Power Platform environments. To begin with, let's refresh what we learned about environments in Chapter 2, Exploring Microsoft Dataverse for Teams; that is, an environment is like a virtual container for all parts of the Power Platform that are logically related, dependent on the same set of data, or just co-located for business reasons. Today, in Dataverse for Teams, there is a one-to-one mapping of each Dataverse instance backing a Teams environment.
