Managing data and analytics projects

To run a data and analytics project, you must consider several factors in your project approach. We will walk you through the data and analytics approach that we have used over time in Figure 13.5:

In the visualized project approach, we defined several steps that we will now explain in more depth:

  1. The idea – the data and analytics business case: Every initiative should begin with a business goal in mind. It should also be included in a business case if you want to calculate the value and return on investment (ROI). You will describe your idea in your business case using several options or scenarios, a financial analysis, and details of potential high risks.
