Chapter 5: Implementing 3D Characters in CSP

In this chapter, we will see how to create a basic human character. We will learn how to make it pose in the next chapter: Chapter 6, Importing 3D Characters in CSP. Now, creating a character and making it pose may sound like a daunting task. But don't worry, it's just that you need to follow some steps that you're not familiar with. But I can assure you, you will have all the tools to make a character in Blender.

Being able to create a 3D character to use in Clip Studio Paint (CSP) is one of the biggest advantages there is to using CSP. This is because it means you can put your recurring character in a scene, and without needing to check for proportions or perspective, you're ready to ink and color them.

But as you will see, it's a lengthy process; it requires 5–6 hours to make a character, but the payoff is huge.

So don't worry, and follow me along in this chapter on how to create a 3D character...
