Creating a web ACL

To start with, we need to create a web ACL, which, during its configuration, comprises five steps. Follow along:

1. From within your AWS Management Console, select WAF & Shield from the Security, Identity, & Compliance category:

2. Select the Create web ACL button:

This will then take you to the first page of the creation of the web ACL. The configuration itself comprises five steps:

1. Describe the web ACL and associate it with AWS resources.
2. Add rules and rule groups.
3. Set rule priority.
4. Configure metrics.
5. Review and create the web ACL.
