Becca’s Hierarchy of Modeling – 10 steps for modifying an object
We all know that repetition when learning leads to the mastery of any skill. As a college professor teaching introductory and advanced SketchUp courses, Becca created the Hierarchy of Modeling to help students repeat the necessary steps to perform commands that require modifying objects, such as extruding, moving, copying, and rotating. The first semester the hierarchy was taught was so successful, it became a staple in each semester’s introductory course curriculum. The 10 steps are proven to be effective when practiced regularly, even when variation is necessary. After outlining the steps, we will show you examples of how to use them.
