Technical requirements
- To preview the examples, you will need a code editor and a browser. The source code for all code examples can be found here: https://github.com/PacktPublishing/The-Missing-Bootstrap-5-Guide.
- To compile Sass to CSS, you will need either of the following:
- Node.js, if you prefer a command-line interface (CLI) using Terminal (Mac) or Command Prompt (Windows)
- Scout-App, if you prefer a graphical user interface (GUI)
- Visual Studio Code, if you prefer to use an extension from the Visual Studio Code Marketplace
All these approaches are explained in Chapter 2, Using and Compiling Sass.
To use Laravel Mix, you will need Node.js installed on your computer and then follow the instructions to download the required packages from npm.
