Using remote apps instead of desktops
These days, end-users are used to working on a physical device; in this case, the choice of a virtual desktop is easy. However, there are advantages to an IT admin not giving access to a virtual desktop but only to the remote apps that the end-user needs.
There are some key advantages when working with remote apps only:
- More security: When working with remote apps, the end-users don’t have access to the OS. This makes it easier to control the OS but it also prevents the end-users from installing software on the session hosts.
