About surveys
In survey-based remote unmoderated studies, tasks and questions are shared with participants in a survey format. Participants complete tasks on their own and in their own environment by reading task instructions and answering questions after completing the task. Once all tasks are completed, the participant answers post-session questions based on their overall experience with the product during the study. The questions can include closed questions, such as rating questions, as well as open questions to gather qualitative user feedback.
Write-down-what-you-think protocol
Moderated and user video-based studies use the think-aloud protocol to gain insight into the user’s thoughts as they complete a task. The phrase “thinking aloud” refers to the participants speaking out loud what they are thinking as they complete each task.
